Missed A Beat

Missed A Beat

About us

The organisation`s core purpose is to make accessing and raising awareness about lifesaving equipment in the form of defibrillators more accessible and quicker in emergencey situations. The organisation works with a wide range of local partners, including the local authorities, sports clubs, schools, community venues, businesses, and community spaces, to purchase, supply and install static defibrillators, along with providing portable defibrillators as required.

The quicker this equipment can be accessed and used, the greater the chance of survival. The idea is to increase the chance of survival for people suffering cardiac arrest outside of a hospital, with the figure being just 1 in 10 people surviving a cardiac arrest.

The organisation also registers each defibrillator on "The Circuit" which is a National Defibrillator Network delivered by the British Heart Foundation. This makes the defibrillator accessible to the public and allows emergency services to access when required.
