My Story

Leo who is 8 and plays football for Newton Aycliffe Reds. Leo has always been big into running and we thought why not set a challenge. So after talking to Leo he has decided he want's to take on the junior GNR and we couldn't be more proud. We then said why not do it to raise money for a charity and thought which charity would be good to support. On the back of his Newton Aycliffe football shirt he carries the Missed a Beat Foudation logo. We explained to Leo what this charity is and what it offers to the football club he plays for and the local area. The Missed a Beat Foundation aim to install defibrillator in vital spots like parks, sports venues and public squares. We explained to Leo what a defibrillator is and what it does and how it saves lives. Within seconds Leo said yes let's do it for them. So here we are, he is training hard for it and is determined he is going to run the full thing with his little legs!!!
