My Story

MISSEDABEAT is a charity close to me and one that I will be supporting in this event. I think that these life saving devices are crucital not just in sports teams but daily life.

Suddenly in 2022 my dad passed away in a footbal match while playing for his local team 'Cobblers Hall over 40's'. Unfortunatly there was not a defib available on site which would have played a crucial part on the day.

I am doing the great North Run in order to raise money to buy and install defibrillators in the surrounding areas. I have choosen the Great North Run because on 7th September 2014 my dad completed the Great North Run himself and it is my aim to do the same and complete this.

I have set myself a goal of raising at least £500 to again install defibs in the community. Any support and donations would be greatly received.
